Pumpkin Spice Lattes are back September 8th—this time with actual pumpkin

We'll readily admit, our first reaction to the news that Starbucks' cult-inducing Pumpkin Spice Lattes would be returning on September 8th went something a little like this:

That's probably the result of lingering post-traumatic stress after last fall's soul-crushing taste test of pumpkin-spiced treats. But personal dread aside, we are intrigued by news that this year's seasonal brew will actually feature the namesake gourd rather than merely pie-like spices and caramel coloring. 

Though the recipe switch-up debuts the day after Labor Day, early-bird latte lovers can get a taste through online promotions as soon as September 4th. Hooray?
