One of the 100 best animated movies ever made is finally getting a US theatrical release this January.

Only Yesterday, which was released by the world-renowned animation studio Studio Ghibli in 1991, follows a 27-year-old woman as she reflects on her childhood and family.

In our Best Animated Movies roundup, we wrote that the simple tale manages to “acquire a kind of solidity that makes us look anew at the everyday” and is “Studio Ghibli’s secret classic.”

New Yorkers will be able to catch screenings of the animated classic, now featuring the vocal talents of Daisy Ridley (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) and Dev Patel (Slumdog Millionaire), at IFC Center beginning January 1.

The film will be distributed nationwide in theaters on February 26.
