In the last few months, Shake Shack has rolled out a series of buzzy bites (see Big Gay Ice Cream sundaes, Grand Central breakfast sandwiches), but for the first time in two years, it's adding a new burger to the menu.
Dropping on New Year's Day and available for a limited time, the Shackmeister patty is hooded in cheese, smothered in beer-soaked fried shallots and, of course, slathered with Shack's secret sauce. It's the same round that pleased judges during the burger bash at Food Network's Wine & Food Festival in South Beach, so it's predestined to be a hit. Get a single for $6.19 or a double for $8.99 at any of the burger chain's locations except for outposts at JFK airport. Here's hoping it sticks around longer than the one-day-only Emilia burger.
