Nothing beats watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in person, but if you’re not inclined to wake up while it’s still dark out and then stand outside in the bitter cold for hours only to have some tourist try to steal your spot at the last minute that you've been standing in SINCE SIX IN THE MORNING, then here’s a good backup.

This year, Macy’s is partnering with Verizon and NBCUniversal to live-stream the parade on YouTube in 360-degree video. It will be just like you're there, except you'll be able to feel your fingers. There will be five cameras placed at different locations along the route so you could even just watch Tony Bennet wave for a few hours if you wanted to. That sounds nice.

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade starts tomorrow morning at 9am.
