August ending signals the final dates of summer. Or, so I believe—I don't have a calendar, and don't know when the summer ends. Regardless, the end of the month also signals the end of SummerStage (ok, that's also a lie—there's a Young the Giant gig on Sept 13). Whatever—point is, I'm packing up my beach towels.

But wait! Don't pack up those summer duds just yet. SummerStage just announced it's expanding its 2017 series with four additional free shows at the Ford Amphitheater on the Coney Island Boardwalk. The four-show run will kick off on September 8 with British songstress Marsha Ambrosius and rising singer-songwriter Ro James. Other highlights include Harlem raised R&B singer Freddie Jackson, rap duo Smif N Wessun and singer Angie Stone. Plenty of fodder for riding out the final days of summer (whenever that may be). See the full schedule below.

Friday, September 8th from 7PM –10PM – Marsha Ambrosius and Ro James

Saturday, September 9th from 7PM –10PM – Freddie Jackson and Angie Stone

Friday, September 15th from 7PM –10PM – Shirley Caesar and Damien Sneed

Sunday, September 17th from 7PM –10PM – EPMD, Slick Rick the Ruler, Black Moon, Smif N Wessun
