Take a walking food tour of the High Line focusing on grasslands

Now that temperatures are dropping, it's apt time for leisurely strolls and connecting with nature. Through September, catch a tour of the special Chelsea Grasslands section on the High Line, hosted by Friends of the High Line, and experience the American prairie landscape in urban form. But there's more than just blooms and grass on this dedicated stretch of green space between West 18th and West 20th Streets—there's also food!

Vendors on the High Line, including Terroir, People's Pops and Melt, will have grasslands-themed items on offer all month—we're talking stuff like lemongrass-mint lemonade, sweet-corn gelato and blueberry-muffin ice-cream sandwiches. To help celebrate, Friends of the Highline will also be hosting hands-on kids activities, an educational panel and Facebook Live gardener chats.
