The first look at a brand-new Second Avenue subway station

The first look at a brand-new Second Avenue subway station

It’s really happening, you guys. We have exclusive photos of the brand-new Second Avenue subway station at 96th Street, sent to us from an anonymous union construction worker. And it actually looks like it’s coming along nicely!

As you can see, the marble work is already finished, and the source estimates it’ll be done in a month. We’ve already seen trains running in the 63rd Street station, despite hiccups like, er, the tunnels being the wrong size.

Check out the photos of the brand-spankin’-new station below, and place your bets on what day it’ll open—and whether it’ll turn into a hell portal within weeks like the Hudson Yards station did

Too bad its a govt plus union job or it would have been done years and years ago..Looks like it still has along way to go, no chance by 12/31/16. Why finish it, then all those no-work jobs will be over...no incentive what so ever to complete this project, just the opposite.
