Here are the best free parties, cultural events and things to do between now and next Wednesday.

RECOMMENDED: Free things to do in NYC guide

Imrpov Everywhere’s MP3 Experiment
Join a carefully orchestrated celebration of whimsy during the fourteenth annual social experiment meets scavenger hunt. Prior to the Experiment, download this year's MP3 and install Improv Everywhere's app on your mobile device (the app synchronizes playback of the MP3, so you'll want that). On Wed 21, head to the appointed spot, pop in your earphones and prepare to do something silly. In previous years, participants have high-fived strangers, walked in slow motion and donned capes and shower caps for a water-gun fight on Governors Island. Expect a whole new set of wacky—and hilarious—activities at this year's edition. Various locations (improveverywhere.com). Wed 21 at 7pm.

Vinyl Nights
Rebecca Lynn welcomes you to this outdoor party on Thursday nights, at which DJs play dance and disco jams on the street. Catch Joey Carvello and DJ Woof and more spinning dope tracks, all on vinyl. Plaza33, 33rd St and Seventh Ave (844-303-7007, mobilemondaysnyc.com). Thu at 6:30pm.

Every Woman: An Art Auction to Benefit Planned Parenthood NYC
More than 50 woman-identifying artists band together to auction their work in support of the highly politicized nonprofit. Bid on affordable photography, screen prints, painting and ceramics, enjoy music and free drinks, and learn more about the work and battles ahead for Planned Parenthood. Industry City, 274 36th St, Brooklyn (718-965-6450, womens artcollective.squarespace.com). Sat 24 6–10pm.

Movies Under the Stars: Cinderella
Wear comfy slippers for this viewing. You’ll be totally enchanted when Cate Blanchett and Helena Bonham Carter chew high-budget scenery as the Evil Stepmother and the Fairy Godmother, respectively. Wolfe’s Pond Park, Cornelia and Chester Aves, Staten Island (718-667-3545, nycgovparks.org). Sat 24 8–10pm.

SummerStage: Korea Gayoje
SummerStage invites a lineup of Korean performers onstage at this showcase, including rap duo Year of the Ox, glam rock band SsingSsing and folk ensemble Coreyah. Central Park SummerStage, Rumsey Playfield, enter at 72nd St and Fifth Ave (212-759-9550, koreanculture.org). Mon 26 5–10pm.
