Watch vintage footage of New York City split screen with modern maps

While working on another story recently, we came across this old footage of old footage (meta, right?) of New York City that we’d never seen before.

Aside from the claim that it’s the “oldest footage of New York City ever” what really makes this video cool and unique is the addition of modern maps to show you exactly where the respective videos would be located today.
