What makes a great comedy show even better? Dogs!
At "Must Love Dogs and Comedy," a female and minority-owned small business that produces comedy shows, dogs are welcome to attend. The shows raise money for animal rescue and wellness causes; so far they've raised $21,000 while featuring 300 diverse performers.
Dogs may not be the subject of the show, but comedians often incorporate them into their jokes and play off their barks and whines. Sometimes they sigh at the perfect time or demand pets from the performer.
The show on Friday, October 13 at Boris & Horton in Manhattan celebrates two years of "Must Love Dogs and Comedy." The show's hosted by Jolie Dudley with performances by Christiana Jackson, Electra Telesford, Erik Angel, Martin Urbano and Max Gross.
