In Praise of Love

Divided into two sections of roughly equal length—the first shot in crisp black and white, the second in remarkably lush digital video—Godard’s feature is as breathtaking to behold as it is impossible to fathom. (It concerns a director who hopes to make a movie about the four stages of love.)
