Time Out says

Located in a neighborhood that never sees a quiet moment, Pendry Manhattan West is somehow able to bring serenity to one of the busiest parts of New York City. Sitting on a corner property on the West Side, the luxurious hotel is elevated and tucked behind trimmed hedges—giving guests a feeling of escape once they step inside. Opened in 2021, Pendry Manhattan West mixes modern design with a relaxed, residential feel.

Why stay at Pendry Manhattan West?

Located in New York City’s Manhattan West development, Pendry Manhattan West is the perfect hotel for guests looking to stay somewhere modern, stylish and elegant without it feeling over the top.

After stepping through the doors and into the cozy and well-decorated lobby, I felt at ease. The space was warmed by an active fireplace, with tons of seats and couches available to sit and relax. The property's luxurious amenities are extensive, ranging from a fitness center and movement studio to a cocktail bar and lounge.

What are the rooms like at Pendry West Manhattan?

Pendry Manhattan West has a total of 164 rooms, with 30 of them dedicated to suites. The hotel offers a variety of room types, including single and double rooms, too.

I stayed in the King Deluxe room, which is thoughtfully designed with two bathrooms, a breakfast table and two chairs, a king bed with two nightstands and floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with natural light. The room also includes built-in shelves filled with books, artwork, a flat-screen TV and mood lighting, which sets the space up to be the perfect spot to unwind after a busy day. The decor is sleek and thoughtful and feels like a decorated apartment, rather than an empty hotel room.

What are the best places to eat/drink nearby?

Whichever direction you choose to head in, you’ll find tons of great restaurants and bars. If you’re in the mood for a sit-down meal, Casa Louie, Friedmans and Chi Restaurant & Bar are great options. For a quick bite to eat, head to LOS TACOS No.1 or Daily Provisions. Guests can dine at Zou Zou’s, the hotel’s Mediterranean restaurant that’s located right off of the lobby.

In the morning, grab a coffee and some pastries at Black Fox Coffee or Bluestone Lane 55, located a few steps away.

What is the service like at Pendry Manhattan West?

The check-in experience at Pendry Manhattan West was quick and easy. The staff took my bags and traded me for some water bottles while I waited for the room keys. Upon entering and exiting the hotel, the doorman and front desk staff are there to greet you and send you on your way, always with a kind smile.

In the morning, I decided to order some breakfast to the room. The service was not only quick but also extremely accommodating. My food was brought to the table near the window and set up for me, so all I had to do was eat and enjoy!

What is the gym and lounge like at Pendry Manhattan West?

Pendry Manhattan West’s Fitness Center and Movement studio includes new Technogym equipment and Peloton bikes, plus a great view of Manhattan. The hotel also has a beautiful lounge and bar with an outdoor patio, perfect for grabbing a drink before dinner or doing some work with a view.

What’s the area like around Pendry Manhattan West?

Pendry Manhattan West is just a few minutes from Penn Station and the Moynihan Train Hall, steps away from the High Line and Vessel, and surrounded by the best restaurants and bars the West Side has to offer.

The West Side is modern, clean, and slightly less crowded than the core areas of Midtown, such as Times Square or the Diamond District, making it the optimal place to call home base while visiting New York City or planning a staycation.
