The over-the-top glam and Southern charm of Dolly Parton will be celebrated in all its glory at the Dolly Parton Look Alike Contest at Mable's Smokehouse.
Grab your most glittery coat and head down to Williamsburg for a night of rhinestone-studded impressions across three rounds. Last year's winner, Erica Doll (a local Dolly expert), fashion exec Greg Manis and Ms. Gay Beer (Dolly impersonator extraordinaire) will judge the contest this year.
The winner will get a $250 gift card to Mable's (and bragging rights) while the second and third place winners will get Dolly-themed prizes, such as posters or a life-sized cut-out. (One year the contest awarded a working 1980s Vidal Sassoon blow dryer!)
And of course, there will be a big honkin' band playing live Dolly hits called Doll Parts.
If you want to compete, send an email to email@example.com, or just show up and enjoy barbecue and classic tunes from the queen of country.
Dolly seems to be the It Girl right now – Dolly's Swing & Dive opened in Williamsburg this past December as an ode to Parton.
