Amplify 2013: rotation

English guitar-abstractionist Keith Rowe, éminence grise of the global electroacoustic improv scene, kicks off the long-awaited return of Amplify, an excellent occasional series of EAI festivals last mounted here in 2011. Presented in conjunction with Issue Project Room, Rowe collaborates with Michael Pisaro and Graham Lambkin on Jan 15; on Jan 16 he plays solo and in a duo with venerable NYC composer-improviser Christian Wolff.
