Much like the rest of NYC, Madison Square Garden is officially back!
For the first time since March 2020, a full-capacity concert is set to take place at the iconic music venue. The band that gets the honor of welcoming one of the city’s most famous arenas back? The Foo Fighters. (In fact, it will be the first concert at any New York arena since March of last year.)
“We’ve been waiting for this day for over a year,” said Dave Grohl. “And Madison Square Garden is going to feel that HARD. New York, get ready for a long ass night of screaming our heads off together to 26 years of Foos."
Tickets for the concert are set to go live on Friday, June 11 at 10am. The announcement comes hot on the heels of other recent bits of news regarding live music returning to the city including the return of SummerStage, Celebrate Brooklyn and Bruce Springsteen.
The concert is only for fans who have been fully vaccinated.
