The Innova festival at the Stone continues with two of the label's best-known performers. Boston saxophonist Ken Field's zanily costumed Revolutionary Snake Ensemble approaches New Orleans–style grooves with Sun Ra spirit at 8pm; guitarist Joel Harrison follows at 10pm with his gorgeous String Choir—a string quartet plus two guitars—in music by nonpareil drummer-composer Paul Motian; so what if it's music he recorded for a different label?
