Matt Mitchell Quartet + Jagged Spheres

A pianist who's contributed plenty to bands led by Tim Berne, Dave Douglas and others, Matt Mitchell is also a bold, exacting composer. Here he heads a four-piece with saxist Chris Speed, bassist Chris Tordini and drummer Dan Weiss. Up first is Jagged Spheres, the exploratory avant-jazz trio of pianist Teddy Klausner, drummer Devin Gray and flutist-saxist Anna Webber.
