Sophie Hunger

Zurich singer-songwriter Sophie Hunger has a disarmingly direct and lovely way of singing—she's rightly been compared to Laura Marling, Beth Orton and (gasp) Björk, but has her own thing going on. Check out her third album, 1983, for evidence of this, and prepare to drift away on gentle, unsettling harmonies, guitar plucks and subtle, tribal drumming.
