The fifth annual Sound Mind Music Festival for Mental Health is back for 2023—and the lineup is looking pretty neat.
On Saturday, May 20, the free festival will stretch between Irving Avenue and Wyckoff Avenue in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Starting at 12pm, hear full sets from Iron & Wine, Hiss Golden Messenger, Langhorne Slim, Kamauu, and Pom Pom Squad. Each performer has a personal mental health story and the festival gives them a platform to empower others.
In addition to the performances, grab your dancing shoes for dance parties and DJ sets (in partnership with House of Yes) throughout the day. Also expect Sound Sessions, meaning holistic mental health programming experiences including movement and yoga, mindfulness and breathwork sessions, and creative activities.
Smorgasburg will provide food and drinks for the event.
