This week, it was announced that Clueless, the Musical will arrive Off Broadway in November 2018. The Cher show (not that Cher Show) will be performed at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center. It’s on the new list of offerings from the New Group, which also put on the Off Broadway production of The Spoils in 2015. Jesse Eisenberg has another play, Yea, Sister!, arriving in April 2019 with the New Group, as well.

Amy Heckerling, the writer of the film, is also writing the theater production. Tina Fey did the same thing for Mean Girls earlier this year, and that worked out very well (see its 12 Tony Award nominations).

Director Kristin Hanggi and choreographer Kelly Devine have also signed on, but there are no cast announcements yet. Still, if Alicia Silverstone can bring back Cher Horowitz for Lip Sync Battle, there’s a chance she could come back as her on Broadway, right? She’s already performed in three Broadway productions. Just saying. And will Paul Rudd (who’s also been on Broadway before) reprise his role as Josh because he still looks exactly the same age?

Even if they go with a slightly younger cast, the audience is sure to be filled with fans of the 1995 film. So if you’re right in between the twenty-somethings flocking to Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and the 40-year-olds jamming at Springsteen on Broadway, Clueless will be the best Broadway show for your age group
