The Bronx’s coolest film night is making its big return—yes, with a side of free beer. Bronx Frame, the community-driven screening series at the historic Andrew Freedman Home, is back for its Fall 2025 run, and the lineup is looking stacked.
The season kicks off Thursday, August 28 with a networking mixer before rolling out a string of screenings through Friday, November 7. Expect a blend of Bronx pride and indie grit, with films from Bronx World Film, Non Films, TBxF, the Bronx Independent Cinema Center and a growing roster of collaborators that includes One Man Army, Cinema on the Sound and Baby Teeth Film Festival. The vibe? Grassroots creativity meets grand Concourse landmark.

If you missed the spring edition, here’s the gist: Bronx Frame is all about platforming emerging and established filmmakers who’ve got stories to tell, whether they’re hyperlocal or international. Screenings often spotlight Bronx-born talent, but the curation leans wide enough to capture unexpected perspectives. And did we mention admission is free? Pair that with complimentary Voodoo Ranger beers (while supplies last) and suddenly your nights just got a serious upgrade.
One of the buzziest nights on the schedule lands Tuesday, September 16, when Bronx Frame teams up with indie collective One Man Army for a showcase that promises “curated, high-energy programming.” “OMA thrives on building spaces where independent voices can take center stage,” says founder Aaron Dalla Villa. “Partnering with Bronx Frame allows us to bring our signature programming to a community deeply invested in authentic storytelling.” Essentially, you can expect the kind of energy you usually only find in a downtown loft screening, but with Bronx flavor and better beer.
The Andrew Freedman Home itself adds to the cinematic mood. The landmark mansion on Grand Concourse has long doubled as a cultural hub, and the fact that you can stroll in for a film night without shelling out for tickets feels like a civic win.
So here’s the move: follow @BronxFrame and @afhbronx on Instagram, RSVP for the kickoff mixer and keep your evening calendar open. Because this fall, the Bronx is serving up movies with community vibes, indie clout and, yes, a cold one on the house.
