There are Targets and then there’s New York City Targets—looking at you “Target” on Avenue A. But the city’s latest Target store is a lot more, well, iconic Target than some of the Manhattan mini versions. And yes, there’s a Starbucks inside.

Opening on Sunday, August 13, at The Kings Plaza Shopping Center, the city’s newest Target store is over 90,000 square feet. For comparison, Target's Soho store is 27,000 square feet, with some of the larger suburban stores topping out at 200,00 square feet.

Kings Plaza Target will be open daily from 8am to 10pm. Floor-to-ceiling glass walls provide natural light and street views and the store’s interior incorporates sustainably harvested wood-plank walls, stenciled concrete floors and solar-powered Drive Up navigational signs.

Target’s own and national brands are for sale, including groceries, adult beverages, essentials, back to school and more, plus a CVS pharmacy.

“We're excited to bring the joy of Target to new guests and help them discover a unique shopping experience tailored to the needs of the Brooklyn community," said Melody Pellot, store director of the new Brooklyn Kings Plaza Target store. “Guests can also shop on their own terms with our easy, contactless and industry-leading Drive Up, Order Pickup, and same-day delivery with Shipt services – ready within a couple of hours with no membership required for the easiest shopping experience in retail.”
