Chelsea Piers is considerably the Mac Daddy of fitness centers since it offers so many ways to workout. Even exercise-phobes should be able to find an activity that will make them look forward to getting their heart pumping. Here’s some good news for Brooklynites: Chelsea Piers opened a second club in Kings County on Thursday morning.

Much like the Manhattan location, the 52,000-square-foot spot features state-of-the-art training, a 75-foot-long pool, hot and regular yoga, pilates, indoor cycling, a 3,000-square-foot turf area, as well as places to unwind in the steam and sauna rooms. Oh, and there are more than 150 classes offered each week.

This is also one of the few gyms in New York that promotes lingering (at least, we assume). Inside the center, there’s a café, large work space and lounge area to coax in members that could use a comfy spot to catch up on emails before and after a workout.

Check it out at 265 Schermerhorn St, Brooklyn (718-407-6400, chelseapiers.comsoon while it still has that fancy, new gym smell.
