Hit me baby one more time before January 3, when Broadway hit & Juliet packs up its ampersand and leaves the Great White Way.
By closing night, the jukebox musical will have played 1,723 regular performances and 20 previews at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre, making it one of the 50 longest-running musicals on Broadway of all time.

Created by Emmy-winning Schitt’s Creek writer David West Read, & Juliet retools the ending of Romeo and Juliet so that the titular heroine gets a second chance at life, love and figuring out what she actually wants. The story is set to an aggressively catchy playlist of Max Martin pop bops, including “Since U Been Gone,” “Roar,” “I Want It That Way” and “Confident.”
Directed by Luke Sheppard with choreography by Jennifer Weber, the production was nominated for nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Its Broadway cast has also provided a launching pad for 43 Broadway debuts and featured performers including Charli D’Amelio, Laurie Hernandez, Chrissy Metz, Kandi Burruss and Joey Fatone.
The current cast includes Gianna Harris as Juliet, Paulo Szot and Joey Fatone alternating as Lance, Alison Luff as Anne, Corey Mach as Shakespeare, Michael Iván Carrier as May, Chrissy Metz as Angélique, Ben Jackson Walker as Romeo and Makai Hernandez as François. Before the show ends, Broadway newcomers including Kenzie Ziegler, Aly Michalka, Spencer Sutherland and Anthony Gargiula will also join.

For fans who need one last shot at the pop-fueled Shakespeare remix, $49 rush tickets are available each performance day at the Sondheim Theatre box office, with digital rush through TodayTix also priced at $49. Standing-room tickets will be $45 for sold-out performances, subject to availability.
After January 3, Juliet will have to find her happily-ever-after somewhere else. Fortunately, she has already proven she knows how to rewrite the ending.
