Your usual New York bagel order probably doesn’t need to specify vodka or gin.

Next week, though, Leon’s Bagels is giving New Yorkers a reason to rethink their regular: the SoHo shop is turning into a limited-time-only sidewalk martini bar, complete with caviar, cream cheese and a different kind of "everything" order. On Friday, October 23, and Saturday, October 24, the storefront at 169 Thompson Street becomes The Martini Window, a two-night pop-up that swaps the morning coffee rush for cocktail hour.

The boozy headliner is The Everything Martini, a savory cocktail inspired by—duh—the everything bagel. Guests can choose between Ketel One Vodka or Tanqueray London Dry Gin, with a sidecar garnish. The announcement hasn’t detailed what's in the garnish, so you’ll have to wait to see how well your favorite bagel seasoning makes the leap into a cocktail glass. As a bar snack, Leon’s will also serve crispy bagel chips alongside a Petrossian Caviar & Double Cream Cheese Sundae, ready for dipping.

The Martini Window setup will consist of just 20 sidewalk seats, a handful of indoor tables and three seatings each night. Leon's will release a limited number of tables through its website on a first-come, first-served basis.

Founded in New York City in 2021, Leon’s everyday menu features hand-rolled, kettle-boiled bagels baked daily, plus familiar breakfast orders like bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches, lox, and coffee. Its stated philosophy is “Nothing Fancy”—so a caviar sundae feels like a particularly entertaining special occasion.

With just two nights to try it and 20 sidewalk seats, this is one bagel run worth planning ahead for.
