New Yorkers are about to swap subway stress for sweat sessions and spa time.
Strong New York, the city’s biggest fitness and wellness festival, returns on Saturday, September 27, taking over The Glasshouse in Hell’s Kitchen with 75,000 square feet of pure endorphin overload. Think panoramic Manhattan views, celebrity-led workouts and a wellness playground that makes your local gym look like a broom closet.
Now in its largest year yet, the one-day festival is expected to draw more than 5,000 guests for a jam-packed celebration of movement, recovery and community. The headliners include power couple Laird Hamilton and Gabby Reece, who will lead their HIGHX circuit training and Performance Breathing sessions before hitting the main stage alongside names like Phil Daru, Gunnar Peterson, Karena Dawn, Devon Levesque and Bobby Maximus. It’s basically a who’s-who of the fitness world under one roof.

But this isn’t just about getting your heart rate up. Strong New York is rolling out a supersized Recovery & Wellness Zone where you can plunge into ice baths, book a massage and sample the latest in recovery gadgets. Call it the city’s most ambitious pop-up spa, minus the whale sounds on loop.
If competition is your cardio, you’ll find plenty to flex. The Strongest in New York event will pit elite athletes against each other in feats of strength, speed and endurance for cash prizes. Everyday attendees can also test themselves in one-minute challenges—deadlifts, pull-ups, rowing, biking—that make it easy to track progress and brag later.
Of course, no New York festival is complete without food. The Healthy Marketplace will serve up everything from functional snacks to curated meals designed to fuel your next workout. Expect samples from big-name wellness brands, plus plenty of freebies to tote home. Title partners Celsius, Hydrow, SweatPals and Impact Kitchen are all onboard, bringing everything from ice-cold energy sips to rowing machines and VIP bites.
Strong New York founder Kenny Santucci sums it up best: “Strength isn’t just about picking heavy weights up off the ground—it’s about being able to pick yourself and others up.” That ethos runs through the entire event, which blends community, education and plenty of sweaty fun.
Whether you’re a pro athlete, a wellness junkie or just someone looking for an excuse to swap brunch for burpees, Strong New York is the ultimate fitness day out. Just don’t forget your sneakers—or your swimsuit for that cold plunge.
