Just as the MTA announced reduced and suspended service across its subway lines given the current rain floods, LaGuardia Airport tweeted that Terminal A is now closed "until further notice."

"All #LGA ticketed passengers should confirm their flight status prior to traveling to the airport," the travel hub advised on the social media platform in a separate tweet.

The New York Post reports that over 60 flights out of the airport have already been cancelled and nearly 90 have been delayed. Inbound routes are also being held at the moment.

Things are obviously not looking pretty and New Yorkers have taken to social media to show the world how bad the rain really is, with videos capturing floods at subway stations, cars trying to navigate the downpours safely and locals quite literally walking through puddles of water.
