Out of all the best spots to go rock climbing in NYC, nothing beats reaching new heights with the promise of a stunning view at the top. That’s why we’re lucky to have The Cliffs at Dumbo in Brooklyn Bridge Park, which entices adventurers with pretty spectacular sights of the Manhattan skyline. It’s the largest outdoor climbing gym in the United States, and on Saturday, May 12, it reopens to the public for a third year.
The space is celebrating the new season with an opening day party from noon to 6pm on the 12th. You can ascend various rock walls below the Manhattan Bridge for a cool $10 (includes gear). Beginners can also take a free introductory class to learn the ropes. When the climbing fatigue sets in, take to the food vendors on site to purchase snacks.
