Keeping track of where to watch your favorite New York sports teams has become almost as exhausting as surviving a Yankees rain delay. And now, there's another change to add to the list.
Starting with the 2026–2027 NBA and NHL seasons, DAZN will become the exclusive direct-to-consumer streaming home for both YES Network and MSG Networks, meaning it will soon be the place to stream games from many of the city's biggest teams, including the New York Yankees, Knicks, Rangers, Nets, Islanders, Devils and the Buffalo Sabres.
Current subscribers to Gotham Sports App will continue to have access while the service transitions to DAZN, with the migration rolling out sometime during the upcoming NBA and NHL seasons. An exact timeline hasn't been announced, but the companies say existing users will be moved over automatically and without any additional cost.

The switch brings an early end to the Gotham Sports App experiment. The service launched in fall 2024 as a joint streaming home for YES and MSG content, giving cord-cutters a way to watch local teams without traditional cable. If the app disappears after the migration, it will have lasted just two full NBA and NHL seasons.
For fans, the biggest question now is how much it will cost. Neither DAZN, YES nor MSG Networks has announced subscription pricing for the new service—or whether it will match Gotham Sports App's current $34.99 monthly or $299.99 annual plans. But if you're already paying for YES or MSG through a cable or satellite TV package, there's some good news: authenticated subscribers will also be able to access the networks through DAZN at no extra charge.
Beyond live games, the platform will also offer around-the-clock feeds of YES, MSG and MSG Sportsnet, along with highlights, behind-the-scenes features, original programming and the networks' Emmy Award-winning series.
It’s a major win for DAZN, which has spent the past several years expanding beyond its boxing and MMA roots into mainstream sports streaming. "The New York sports landscape has a rich heritage of teams and DAZN is honored to partner with both the YES Network and MSG Networks to become their exclusive direct-to-consumer streaming home," DAZN Group CEO Shay Segev said in a statement.
So if you're planning to watch Aaron Judge chase another home run record or hoping to see the defending NBA champion Knicks make another title run, you'll want to make room for one more streaming app on your TV.
