Since its start in 2007, Felice has always been about sharing the cuisine of Tuscany in a space that feels homey and warm.
"Felice was conceived from the beginning as an extension of the New Yorker's living room, a place where you can have exceptional wine with friends, eat genuine Italian food, and simply feel at home,” said Jacopo Giustiniani, managing partner at SA Hospitality Group, in a press release. As of last week, the residents and daily visitors of Flatiron now have a new neighborhood find to call home.
On Thursday, June 4, Felice debuted at another location, this time on Fifth Avenue and 26th Street. It is its first opening in four years, as the brand operates 14 locations across New York state, including Roslyn and Westchester County, and a fast-casual pasta bar at Time Out Market New York in Brooklyn. The latest exists inside a 21-story Neo-Gothic building that overlooks Madison Square Park, grand with 18-foot ceilings, a 30-foot-wide wine wall and a marble bar near the entryway, their largest to date.
New additions continue with cocktails that lean into classic Italian aperitivo culture, starting with the Dirty Martini Spritz with a twist of lemon and a spear of olive. There’s also a post-dinner nightcaps menu that will have you drinking well after dark, with Amaro Shakerato, Limoncello Martini and an Affogato Martini on offer. Libations round out with a stellar selection of wine (once again, just look to the wine wall), with a program that champions small producers and low-intervention selections.

As for dining, Felice’s classics still reign supreme with tuna tartare and arancini for starters, pizzas and a dedicated section of pastas and mains that include branzino and chicken Milanese. And for a little show, the newest locale also has table-side tiramisu carts and an interactive amaro bar station. But as grand as it may be, the new addition carries on the ethos of its former: warm Tuscan hospitality and stellar cuisine.
“We wanted the space to feel instantly familiar but elevated in every detail, Tuscany in its materials, New York in its energy,” said Enrico Bonetti, co-founder of Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture, in a press release.
And perhaps there is nothing more New York than a Dirty Martini Spritz with a twirl of pasta, don't you think?
