If your TikTok algorithm is full of impeccably curated "Get Ready With Me" videos, one New York hotel is betting you'll want to live the trend yourself, not just watch it.
The InterContinental New York Barclay in Midtown has unveiled a new GRWM Retreat, a staycation package that turns the viral beauty ritual into a luxury overnight experience. Instead of racing through your skincare routine before dinner, guests can check into one of Midtown's most elegant hotels and find much of the pampering already planned for them.
The package includes upgraded accommodations along with a lineup of beauty-focused extras, including a Russian mani-pedi at nearby luxury salon L'ENVIE (located just a minute's walk from the hotel's entrance), a Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm, a Tatcha Starter Ritual Set and a silk Barclay pillowcase to take home. Think of it as a hotel stay designed around the pre-going-out ritual rather than the night itself.
With beauty tourism and wellness-focused travel continuing to gain momentum, the timing makes sense. "Get Ready With Me" videos have become one of social media's defining formats, making everyday routines aspirational entertainment. The hotel’s new offering takes that same ritual and packages it into a polished Manhattan escape, whether you're celebrating a special occasion, planning a girls' weekend or just looking for an excuse to treat yourself.
The setting doesn't hurt, either. Opened in 1926, the InterContinental New York Barclay blends old New York glamour with a residential feel unlike that of many Midtown hotels. From the property, guests are within walking distance of Fifth Avenue shopping, Rockefeller Center and Grand Central Terminal, making it easy to turn a beauty-focused getaway into a full weekend.
The GRWM Retreat starts at $1,050 per night, including accommodations and the package amenities. Reservations must be made at least four days in advance.
It's certainly not the cheapest way to get ready for a night out—but if your ideal pregame involves luxury skincare, fresh nails and a plush hotel room instead of scrambling in front of your bathroom mirror, this may be the most New York version of "getting ready" yet.
