Attention, cookie monsters: Last Crumb, the premium cookie brand that became an sensation through its exclusive online drops of hefty, decadent cookies, is opening its first physical retail storefront tomorrow. Located at 144 N 8th Street in the heart of Williamsburg, the highly anticipated flagship marks a major evolution for the brand, bringing its coveted, luxury cookies to New York. And if you're one of the first customers to check it out, you'll get a free cookie.

Founded in Los Angeles in 2020 by Derek Jaeger, Last Crumb achieved genuine cultural velocity by operating like a streetwear brand. Weekly online releases of 400 to 500 boxes routinely sold out in under ten seconds, with customers posting their receipts on social media like concert tickets. Now, having relocated to New York, the team bakes and ships everything same-day from a production facility in South Williamsburg.

Unlike traditional bakeries that use a single base dough, Last Crumb treats each cookie as a distinct, standalone dessert. Every flavor requires a meticulous three-day process, built from scratch with a unique recipe, custom compound butter and dedicated bake temperature.

Freed from shipping constraints, the Williamsburg store serves cookies baked same-day and held on specialty hot plates to maintain optimal, flavor-specific temperatures. The menu features eight permanent icons—including the brown-butter chocolate chip "Better Than Sex," the molten-centered "The Floor Is Lava" and the marshmallow-topped, banana cream pie flavored "Donkey Kong"—alongside a rotating surprise flavor. To complement the cookies, the store serves custom shaken milks in flavors like Original, Ube and Cookies & Cream.

Designed by the Parisian firm Malherbe—known for work with Dior—the sophisticated interior translates Last Crumb’s famous unboxing experience into a sleek, five-stage architectural journey. While online boxes historically range from $80 to $140, the storefront offers single cookies for $8.50, a three-count box for $24 and a six-count box for $45.

To celebrate the grand opening on Thursday, May 28, Last Crumb is greeting its new neighbors with a sweet deal: the first 100 people through the door on Thursday, Friday and Saturday will receive a free cookie. There will be plenty of surprises throughout the day for everyone else. Doors open daily from 11am to 10pm. RSVP for the grand opening here, and find out more about Last Crumb on their website.
