Summer Fridays are a distant memory, but there’s a bit of redemption: Umami Burger is giving away free burgers and fries during business hours on Friday, November 15th in honor of its "Free the Burger" celebration.
While the promotion is available across the U.S. (except in two locations), the only New York outlet of the California chain is now only located at Brookfield Place, which is open 11:30am-9pm. You don’t have to order the Impossible burger, a vegan patty that eerily resembles red meat in texture and taste. But you can order a Cali style or truffle burger with the alternative meat filling. Don’t forget your free side of fries, too.

“We want our customers to meet, greet, and eat Umami Burger’s real yummy, real beef, and plant-based Impossible creations in-store on November 15,” says Nate Appleman, COO of sbe’s Umami Burger and a former chef at the much publicized Pulino’s in New York, in a statement from the company. “Any Umami Burger, any way you want it.”
There’s also a contest on Instagram for those who tag their photos with @UmamiBurger and #UrYummy for a chance to win free burgers for a year (you’ll get one burger week).
