We sure hope the rain will stop by tomorrow because we'll need to venture to the Meatpacking District to enjoy this fabulous promotion by viral bakery L'Appartement 4F and furniture store Maiden Home.

To celebrate the opening of the shop's new flagship at 34 Little W 12th Street by Gansevoort Street, the two companies have joined forces and will offer shoppers free baguettes, croissants and other treats by L'Appartement 4F from noon until 4pm, or until supplies last, on Saturday.

Whether you're actually looking for a new couch or not, we suggest you set some time aside to peruse the aisles of the destination with a sweet delicacy in hand given the popularity of the bakery, which actually started off as an Instagram-based business during the pandemic and relatively recently developed into a full-fledged (and supremely loved) brick-and-mortar space in Brooklyn.

Gautier and Ashley Coiffard, the married couple behind the culinary endeavor, used to make bread from their own apartment in Cobble Hill (you guessed it: unit 4F), eventually creating the mini croissant cereals that took over all of our social media feeds for a few months. Fast-forward to today and their Brooklyn Heights bakery at 115 Montague Street has become a staple of the neighborhood and the community, often the site of quasi-endless lines of customers.

We hope to see you in the Meatpacking District tomorrow, celebrating the end of these insane rain storms with a crunchy baguette in hand.
