Wash your clothes for free at a laundromat café in Williamsburg this weekend

A great deal of New Yorkers live in apartments without a washer and dryer. And that can be a real downer, especially if there isn’t a nearby laundromat in sight. While drop-off and pick-up laundry service have been a game changer, some folks would rather clean their dirty underwear themselves. (We don’t blame you.)

Depending on how many weeks’ worth of worn clothing you’ve piled up, it could cost you anywhere between $10 and $20 to get your duds smelling like Snuggle. But this weekend, there’s a nifty laundromat café that will charge you the price of nada to wash and dry your threads.

People actually look forward to doing their laundry at Celsius, one of the newer hybrid businesses to hit the Williamsburg scene. The six-month-old, eco-friendly laundromat doubles as a coffee shop in addition to providing energy-efficient Electrolux washers that text patrons when their clothes are ready. On June 1 through June 3, Celsius is offering unlimited wash and dry to anyone who enters the joint during those three days.

While you wait for your laundry to finish, enjoy a Caffe Vita coffee drink and a treat from Saraghina Bakery outside on the laundromat’s patio. See, doing your own laundry can be fun!
