Giovanni Cervantes and Tania Apolinar have built quite the empire in NYC, starting with suadero and longaniza tacos at Taqueria Ramirez, all things pork at Carnitas Ramirez, and a fútbol-focused cantina (that opened right at the edge of the World Cup), Socceria. The two teased one more by summer's end, El Camarón Peludo, a seafood and wine bar in the West Village. The two are hosting a sneak preview, and you are invited.
On Sunday, August 30, El Camarón Peludo will be popping up at Bar Susanne, a newly minted raw bar in Williamsburg from Jackie Carnesi. A preview of the menu entails michelada oysters, aguachile negro, and pescadilla (a shrimp quesadilla, perhaps?). All happening on the outdoor terrace, guests can indulge in oyster shucking and cocktail specials while taking a bite of what's to come.
