What if scoring a reservation at some of the most sought-after restaurants in New York City was as easy as ordering delivery? Keep dreaming, you say? Enter DoorDash’s new Reservations feature, the platform’s bold evolution from go-to takeout lifeline to full-service dining concierge. With reservations, in-store rewards and exclusive experiences now housed under a single tab in the app, DoorDash makes dining out as seamless as using its popular eating-in service. And with that, your NYC nights just got a massive glow-up.

Through DoorDash Reservations, diners can now book some of the city’s hardest-to-snag tables, earning credits toward future orders with every reservation. Meanwhile, DashPass members can now unlock even more: exclusive tables, extra credits and discounted Lyft rides.

DoorDash reservations is also your portal to booking exclusive dining experiences. You can RSVP to an exclusive one-night-only experience with Grammy-nominated artist Leon Thomas at Soso’s on Saturday, November 22. Or, reserve an evening at Roscioli featuring a four-course, freshly shaved black and white truffle tasting menu on November 23, 24, 30 and December 1, bookable exclusively on DoorDash.

This isn’t just a new feature. It’s a new way of engaging with the city. DoorDash is reintroducing itself not only as the place you tap into when you want dinner delivered, but also as the place you tap into when you want dinner out. That means discovering hidden neighborhood gems, breezing past waitlists and elevating last-minute plans into unforgettable evenings. As Eugene Remm, a partner at Catch Hospitality Group shared, “People come to our restaurants because they want more than just a meal. They’re looking for an experience. Partnering with DoorDash gives more guests the opportunity to enjoy our restaurants.”

And what better city to flex this new era than New York, where demand is high, tables are scarce and within every neighborhood you’ll find a new obsession? Whether you're craving downtown record bar cool, modern-yet-rustic Flatiron favorites or West Village chic, consider this your curated NYC Dash List: five restaurants that rarely (if ever) have open tables that are now just a few taps away.

Roscioli

Few openings in recent years have hit the city with the force of Roscioli, the beloved Roman institution’s first U.S. outpost. New Yorkers waited months—seriously, months—for a seat at its downstairs tasting room, where the menu riffs on classics from the original Via dei Giubbonari flagship. The dining room is intimate, almost museum-like and proudly Roman, complete with shelves of tinned fish, gnarled salumi and glossy jars of artisanal condiments.

The star, of course, is the pasta. Their cacio e pepe is a precision-level achievement: creamy, glossy and pepper-forward. The carbonara here is textbook perfect. And the burrata paired with silky anchovies is the kind of dish you think about long after, like the one who got away.

Roscioli is hosting exclusive Tartuflanghe Truffle Tastings on November 23, 24, 30 and December 1 for DoorDash customers to celebrate the launch of its in-app Reservations. The sold-out experience returns with a four-course menu featuring freshly shaved seasonal truffles, curated wines available on site and limited truffle products to take home.

With DoorDash Reservations, securing a seat here shifts from a miracle to a manageable feat for anyone wanting to visit modern Rome without leaving Soho.

Tokyo Record Bar

Tokyo Record Bar is part restaurant, part secret vinyl lounge, part themed fever dream and wholly unforgettable. This Village favorite is inspired by Tokyo’s intimate listening bars, where chefs cook while vinyl spins and guests pick tracks from a curated menu of records. It’s playful, eccentric and feels deeply New York.

The tasting menu changes regularly, always featuring riffs on Japanese bar food: yuzu-soaked veggies, chicken karaage, gyoza, sushi rice bowls and, usually, a cheeky jewel-box dessert. As they dine, guests bop along while their chosen anthems blast through the room, a communal moment that feels like dinner and a mixtape wrapped into one.

Reservations here are notoriously competitive due to its tiny size, cult following and the fact that each night is a full, timed seating. But now with DoorDash Reservations, grabbing one of these atmospheric seats suddenly becomes a lot less of a gamble and a lot more of a guarantee.

L'Artusi

For over a decade, L’Artusi has remained one of the West Village’s most reliably packed dining rooms, which is truly an impressive feat given the neighborhood’s competition and breakneck restaurant turnover. It’s the kind of place where locals celebrate everything from engagements to Tuesday nights, and the energy inside always hums at a perfect, effortless frequency.

The cuisine is modern Italian but rooted in classic technique. The ricotta gnocchi is practically a New York rite of passage, the roasted mushrooms with pancetta and a fried egg feels like the most chic comfort food ever, and the olive oil cake is legendary in its own right. Owing in part to their newly expanded raw bar and a refreshed cocktail program, it seems L’Artusi has only gotten sharper with age.

Historically, a reservation required luck, persistence and possibly divine intervention. DoorDash Reservations has changed the game entirely, making securing a seat at this quintessential “special but not too serious” NYC favorite easier than ever.

The Corner Store

Arguably the biggest sleeper hit of Nolita’s dining renaissance, The Corner Store has quickly become one of the hardest reservations in the city—not because it’s loud or flashy, but because it’s genuinely excellent. Led by restaurateur Ezra Cohen and a sharp, quietly ambitious culinary team, this spot feels like a cozy neighborhood restaurant dressed up with a global pantry and a cosmopolitan edge.

The menu leans modern American, but its influences roam: crispy rice with tuna tartare, a cult-status chicken with schmaltzy jus, thoughtfully seasonal vegetable dishes and a burger that critics keep calling one of NYC’s best. The dining room feels like a hybrid of bistro, brasserie and modern townhouse; it’s warm, polished and intimate without feeling overly precious.

DoorDash Reservations now offers actual access to this notoriously tricky booking, making The Corner Store feel less like a best-kept secret and more like a must-visit destination.

Scarpetta

In a city overflowing with Italian talent, Scarpetta has earned its place in the upper echelon. Known for its refined simplicity and iconic pasta lineup, this is the kind of restaurant that easily turns first-time diners into repeat loyalists. The space is sleek and moody, with sculptural lighting, smooth lines and enough glamour to remind you you’re dining somewhere significant.

Scarpetta’s signature spaghetti is a perfect expression of restraint: al dente, silky, bright, tomato-forward and unforgettable. The yellowtail crudo with pickled fennel could probably be trademarked. And the short rib agnolotti lands somewhere between indulgence and art.

While the brand has expanded globally, the Flatiron flagship still drives the most demand. But through DoorDash Reservations, scoring a prime-time reservation here becomes far less daunting, giving diners the chance to visit one of the city’s greatest gems.
