Time Out says

Ice & Vice's creative ice cream flavors keep us on our toes. It turns out all their concoctions are as tasty as they are whimsical. We're always awaiting the next creative flavor so, naturally, we invited it to hold court at Time Out Market New York. We tasted its food, reviewed the eatery and had no hesitation in recommending Jacob's Pickle for a spot at the market. Here’s why:

If Vice magazine had an ice cream annex, this would be it. Modern, dark and edgy, this experimental ice cream shop touts a rotating menu of envelope-pushing flavors like Bath Salts (lavender and pine stracciatella), American Beauty (crème fraîche and rose petal jam) and Opium Den (white sesame, toasted poppy seed and lemon bread crouton).

For all of the amazing food that's available throughout NYC, Ice & ice is in a class of its own. They've reinvented one of the best foods in a way that still feels accessible to people who aren't looking for a food-specific thrill.  While you should definitely try the seasonal flavors while they're there, the Milk Money and Opium Den are must-trys. Yes, from first sight it's a strange place, but don't knock it until you try it!

Ice and Vice is known for it's constant rotation of daring flavors and dessert-mash ups (on my last visit I had an ice cream sandwich inside a donut). Everything is delicious and tends to sell out fast (especially when they do their pop-ups at food fests like Madison Square eats and the offerings are designed to be instagram worthy). The store is usually packed, but the line moves quickly. Only bummer is the lack of space, but on a nice day you can enjoy your tasty treats at the park across the street.
