Time Out says

There are many times I have found myself in Little Italy, usually by mistake. Not to say there aren't gems to explore, as I've never refused a greasy sausage and pepper sandwich during The Feast of San Gennaro or a pack of rainbow cookies from Ferrara's Bakery & Cafe, particularly during the holiday season. But given the touristy nature of the neighborhood, I tend to avoid it.

In March, L'Industrieone of New York's best pizza shops, opened its third location right in the heart of Little Italy. And even though the owner, Massimo Laveglia, hails from the Italian motherland, landing in Little Italy was wholly unintentional. However, after scouting 25 different locations alongside partners Nick Baglivo and Manuel Jimenez, the bones of the former pizzeria and the timing all seemed to fit. Plus, as Jimenez points out:L’Industrie Little Italy has a ring to it.

So, what's new at this location? Honestly, not much. But we promise that's a good thing. All of the standards can be found here, including the burrata slice with creamy dollops of the cold stuff on it and the Tartufo with all its umami goodness. And the crust? Still as fermented, crisp, and Earth-shattering as ever. The glass partition near the front displays housemade bombolini, while the freezer right next to it is stocked with mille feuille and pistachio tres leche. The title of best cold snack goes to the swirls of gelato and sorbet (shout out to the fresh cantaloupe and pistachio with olive oil drizzles).

The best news of all? The lines are moderate compared to the hour-long waits at the Williamsburg and West Village locations, if not non-existent during lunch. But we make no promises once word circulates among tourists. So, go visit now for one of the best slices in town.
