Five events. Five cities. All to find the best name in coffee.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the iconic, plunger-style AeroPress Coffee Maker. To celebrate such a momentous milestone, the brand is launching the American AeroPress Championship. Five cities across the nation, including Austin, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and Seattle, will put forth their best roasteries, all vying for the title of best brew in the country. And it all goes down this month.
On October 12, roasters battling for the best brew will gather at Atolye Venue & Bar in Brooklyn, where heavy hitters in the coffee scene will go head to head, including Parlor Coffee, Regalia Coffee, SEY Coffee and Stumptown Coffee. The multi-round competition will feature quick brews and rapid-fire challenges, all judged by a panel of experts. They will decide who moves on to the AeroPress Champion in San Francisco for the chance to move up to the World AeroPress Championship in Seoul. But don't worry, the audience will be able to get in on the fun too with unlimited coffee pours, paired with food and tons of merrymaking.
The competition starts at noon and tickets are only $10. Buy your ticket to this coffee fest here.
