The following restaurants and bars are expected to open by June 20. Always call ahead, as openings can be delayed.

Beny's Epicerie Croissants, chocolate eclairs and fruit tarts are on offer at this Prospect Heights patisserie, from the owners of Beny's Delice in Clinton Hill. The 12-seat spot also features savory eats like a smoked-duck salad, a mushroom crêpe and a breakfast sandwich made with a swiss-cheese omelet, ham and red pepper spread on rosemary bread. 567 Vanderbilt Ave between Dean and Pacific Sts, Prospect Heights, Brooklyn (718-484-1191)

Chote Nawab Shiva Natarajan—the enterprising restaurateur behind Chola, Bhojan, Dhaba and Singapura—brought on Chopped season ten winner Walter D’Rozario (Junoon) to consult on the menu for his fifth Indian eatery. D’Rozario's menu includes dishes like tunde ke kabab (Lucknow-style minced lamb skewers), dum kokur (a chicken curry pot with a pastry-lid top) and patra ni machi (fish with green masala wrapped in banana leaves). The 70-seat space—its name translates to "little prince" in Urdu—features concrete walls and and colorful murals. 115 Lexington Ave at 27th St (212-679-4603)

Gin Palace East Village cocktail booster Ravi DeRossi—whose ’hood holdings include Amor y Amargo and Death & Company, among others—teamed up with Dram’s Tom Chadwick and Frank Cisneros for this star-powered project in the Cienfuegos complex. Turning from Cuba to Britain, the trio will transform the former rum-soaked El Cobre space into a rock & roll gin drinkery. Chadwick and Cisneros stocked the gunmetal-railed brass bar with 30 bottles of the stuff, which they plug into 15 cocktails, all at recession-friendly prices of $10 and under. Choose from classic (martini), creative (MI5: Plymouth gin, applejack, Dolin sweet vermouth, cynar) and draft tipples (Ramos gin fizz). In addition to England’s national spirit, the Anglo bent also carries over to the menu with classic pub fare such as fish and chips, sausages and oxtail meat pies on offer to offset all the gin guzzling. Although the bar takes its name from the swank gin joints of 1800s London, the decor channels a steampunk aesthetic with a space-age chandelier crafted from green-neon-lit bars, brass bands and light doodads; black-patent-leather walls; and a ceiling painted to resemble watch gears. Plus, the space is rigged up with a top-of-the-line sound system for a cast of rotating DJs spinning a mix of rock and postpunk. 95 Ave A at 6th St (212-614-6818)

The Goodwin Chef Colin Kruzic (Jo’s, James) consulted on the bill of fare at this wood-accented Greenwich Village wine bar, which features a stained walnut bar and a floor fashioned from reclaimed barn planks. Find New American fare like ham-hock pate, a Rich Boy sandwich (tempura mussels and clams with chorizo on a pretzel hero) and a Tuscan kale salad with farro, marinated tomato, goat cheese and cucumber. Drinkers can choose from 50 international wines, as well as sake and craft beer. 430 Hudson St between Leroy and Morton Sts (212-929-6181)

The Penrose Chefs PJ Calapa (Ai Fiori) and David Mawhinney (Per Se) dish out American and Irish plates at this Cork-inspired gastropub, from the owners of Wilfie & Nell and Sweet Afton. Dig into Cork specialties like beer-battered sausage or a spiced beef sandwich, or opt for comfort-food favorites such as mac and cheese or a Pat LaFrieda burger. Twelve taps dispense craft brews like Murphy’s Stout, Green Flash IPA and a proprietary Tenement Ale (Irish Red Ale) made by Sixpoint. The 2,500-square-foot space—named after Ireland’s Penrose Wharf—features three poured-concrete bars, a white porcelain-tiled floor and a salvaged wood ceiling. 1590 Second Ave between 82nd and 83rd Sts (212-203-2751)

The Pitch & Fork The team behind Nolita's Jacques and 1534 heads uptown with this American brasserie, outfitted with a mahogany bar and black-vinyl banquettes, on the Upper East Side. Head to the year-round garden out back for a bite and a cocktail, such as the Blue Manhattan (blueberry-infused bourbon, Carpano Antica, baked apple bitters) or the Lazy Afternoon (gin, Pimms, muddled cucumber, lemon juice). The bill of fare features hearty plates like smoked salt-and-pepper St. Louis ribs with kale slaw, trotter tots with smoked garlic mayo and pickled red-beet eggs, and grilled chicken potpie served alongside spaetzle, artichoke and mushrooms. 1606 First Ave between 83rd and 84th Sts (212-288-1003)

RSVP Former Hell's Kitchen contestant Seth Levine helms the stoves at this flashy New American restaurant, outfitted with crystal chandeliers and a mirrored wall. Diners can nibble on gussied up comfort-food plates, including foie gras dumplings, beef tartare tacos and a truffle artichoke pizza. 15 Watts St at Thompson St (212-300-3162)

Super Noodle
West Village chowhounds can dig into Beijing-style plates—dandan noodles, pork-and-chive dumplings and roasted duck soup—at this pint-sized Chinese joint. 70 Seventh Ave South at Commerce St (212-929-2188)
