Cheer on the teams at the Consulate Cup on Saturday, October 14 at Citi Field. Consulates across New York City will compete at the second tournament, which brings together members of New York’s diplomatic community in a celebration of the world’s most popular sport.
Among the consulates competing are returning finalists Burkina Faso and Mexico. They’ll be joined by Argentina, Germany, Indonesia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Switzerland and the United States, just to mention a few of the more than 20 countries playing.
New York City Football Club is hosting the Consulate Cup with money raised from the tournament supporting the club’s mission of making soccer more accessible to underserved youth across the five boroughs.
