You can take the performers out of the circus, but you can't take the circus out of the performers. The Brisbane-based Circa cuts out the gaudy big-top trappings and gives acrobats understated leotards, theatrical direction, nuanced lighting and a less-brassy soundtrack. The jaw-dropping gymnastic feats still remain.
