Time Out says

This free concert celebrates African American and Hispanic classical music at the Advent Lutheran Church.

Cheryl Warfield, a professional opera singer who founded the Manhattan Opera Repertory Ensemble, is behind "Angelitos Negros,"  a free concert that combines African American and Hispanic classical music, created in collaboration with Chilean-Syrian composer/pianist Patricio Molina.

Held at the Advent Lutheran Church at 2504 Broadway on Saturday, December 2, the performance features opera excerpts, Spanish and indigenous folk music, and spirituals with an original dramatic narrative that celebrates the musical traditions of African American and Latino cultures and highlights Black and Latino composers. You'll hear the musical stylings of both Molina and Warfield, as well as Metropolitan Opera baritone Richard Hobson, tenors Emmanuel Cruz and Alonso Jordan Lopez, soprano Monica Camafreita and the intergenerational community-based MORE Opera Chorus.
