Time Out says

Comedians and performers do their best tight five as somebody else at BAPHTA's "yearly survey of celebrity"

It's one thing to dress up as iconic celebrities like Elvis, Dolly or Cher. It's an entirely different thing to impersonate them, a distinction you'll see in very fun fashion at the third annual Celebrity Impersonation Pageant, hosted by BAPHTA. (No, not the British Academy of Film and Television Arts—rather, the queer performance art duo made up of Tim Kov and Andy Ward.)

Hosted on Tuesday, October 24 at 10 pm at beloved Bed-Stuy queer bar C'mon Everybody (325 Franklin Ave between Clifton Pl and Greene Ave), the pageant will feature "a handful of weirdos" who will do their best "tight five" (a.k.a. a five-minute set) completely as someone else. That could be famous folks you're definitely familiar withseemingly every impressionist can do a broad Christopher Walken or a campy Liza Minnelli—as well as more niche personalities you might not be.

That "handful of weirdos" includes Saturday Night Live newcomer Chloe Toast, Adult Swim alum Carolin Yost, Los Espookys actor Spike Einbinder and fellow impersonators including Clare Austen-Smith, Michelle Chan Bennett, Sydney Duncan, Will Duncan, Gus Heagerty, Josh Nasser, Sophia Wilson Pelton, Schuyler Robinson, and Marissa Solomon. And given that this is a celebrity event, black tie is encouraged.

Tickets are available for 10 bucks during the pre-sale or $15 at the door on the night of.
