Time Out says

This immersive ceramics experience will teach you the basics of clay artistry, all while enjoying wine, snacks and more.

Whether you’re looking for a creative workshop to make friends or an artsy alternative to your usual date night, Claydate at Drawing Room is just the place. Held in an artists loft in Chelsea, this ceramics experience is a whole two-plus-hour immersive event that will help you learn the basics of clay handbuilding artistry (from slab building to pot pinching) with instruction from visual artist Aubrey Aiese.

You'll get to take home two pieces that you yourself designed, built and glazed, all while enjoying savory and sweet snacks as well as both alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. All finished pieces are food-safe, microwave-safe and even oven-safe, so you won’t have to worry about using that new plate or bowl you created, and claywork beginners and solo attendees are very much encouraged to join in.

Upcoming classes are on February 8, 17, and 29.
