Time Out says

Sideshow acts, burlesque performances, tattoo sessions and a costume contest are on the Clown-O-Ween docket

Mysteries and mayhem abound at the first annual Clown Cult: CLOWN-O-WEEN, a spirited Halloween variety experience taking place on Saturday, October 21 at a secret Bushwick address off the Jefferson L spot. (Don't worry, you'll learn the exact location once you buy tickets.)

From 9 pm until late, don your clownish best (if you need help or inspiration, just head to the Clownsformation Station by GlitterMilk—the best ghoulish get-up can win an array of prizes in categories including "Sexiest" and "Silliest" during the night's big costume contest) and join in for all sorts of "silly rituals" and "ridiculous activities," including cult initiation ceremonies, sideshow acts, burlesque performances, hands-on art making, food and drink specials, and more.

Take in vintage 33mm clown and Halloween films, fill up on sweets and Big Top Popcorn at the candy shop, try your hand at Frick Frack Blackjack at the clown casino and sit down for an "Inner Clown" portrait by Piss. And as for live entertainment, there will be plenty: expect tunes from electronic duo Future Joy and multi-instrumentalist Pink Velvet Witch, as well as variety performances from the likes of Chuckie Sleaze, Jigsaw Joe, Connie Lingus, Cochina Devina, Maggie McMuffin, Vagabond and Miss Moss.

You can grab the first round of pre-sale tickets for $25 a pop; round two will set you back $30 and if you wait until the day of the event, entry will be set at $35. And pro tip: make sure to bring cash to buy your drinks (it's a cash bar!) and tip the performers.
