We're into all things mystical and magical all year round (seriously, have you seen our crystal collections?), but especially during those charged days surrounding Halloween. This year, NYC's newest spiritual healing center and metaphysical shop, Earth Angel Crystal in Long Island City (5-48 50th Ave, second floor) is tapping into the spooky vibes with a festive slate of events leading up to October 31.
On Friday, October 20 from 6 pm to 7pm, take in a live mediumship session with Juan Francisco ($25), psychic medium and host of the podcast "Third Eye Sight," who will demonstrate what it feels like to bridge the gap between this world and the spirit world.
On Thursday, October 26 frpm 6 pm to 8pm, show off your most clever, creative get-ups during an adult costume contest ($10). Two winners will be selected, with the grand prize winner taking home a mystery prize and the runner-up winning an Earth Angel Crystal goody bag.
And on Halloween itself from 3 pm to 5 pm, bring the kiddies (aged six and up) to a Scary Story Time event (free with RSVP), where they can get decked out with free face painting and flitter paint before they head out for trick-or-treating. Goody bags with candy will be provided to all children.
