Time Out says

Take the kiddies for Halloween at The Children's Museum of Manhattan, complete with trick-or-treat quests, pumpkin crafts, costume runways and more

The Children's Museum of Manhattan is going all out for Halloween 2023, introducing three unique programs for October: CMOM x Cricket’s Candy Creations Epic Trick or Treat Fest, which will see attendees diving into the world of edible artistry and delectable design challenges; Halloween Head-To-Toe, where kiddos can let their creativity fly as create and craft different elements of costumes; and more special events. (Check out the CMOM website for the full slate of Halloween programming.)

Kids can collage bone shapes while learning the names of the different bones in the body; learn how to crochet or sew silly, spooky leg warmers; decorate and design a wind-up monster that can walk on its own; and design their own Halloween costume apparel, from helmets to goggles to capes, at a Halloween Makerspace.

Other event highlights include a Musical Halloween Costume Runway and Dance Party throughout the entire museum on Saturday, October 28 and Sunday, October 29 at 4pm; and a museum-wide Epic Trick or Treat Quest filled with tantalizing tastings for a grand Halloween finale weekend on October 28 and 29 from 10am-4:45pm.

The Halloween programming is included with the price of admission at the museum, which is located at the Tisch Building, 212 West 83rd Street. Admission tickets cost $16.75 for both adults and children; infants under one year are free.
