Master the art of oyster shucking at this hands-on session with Lady Shuckers, taking over Henrietta Hudson on Saturday, February 21 from 6pm to 8pm. With oyster knives and cut-resistance globes provided, you'll receive professional shucking instructions so you can shell, clean and slurp with the best of them. Each attendee will get a dozen bivalves, sourced from women-led sea farms in Maine, as well as all of the classic accoutrements (lemon, mignonette, cocktail sauce, hot sauce), plus a Lady Shuckers sticker and a "Learn to Shuck" infographic print to take home. There will also be a short presentation on Maine acquaculture and an open Q&A with Lady Shuckers CEO Libby Davis.
